Print By Mail Secure Print

The Print By Mail feature allows you to bypass the need for a mobile printing application while still sending print jobs to a secure print queue or directly to a configured printer. Users can create an email and attach a file for printing, and then send the email to a specified email address. When the Mobile Internet Extender (MIE) server receives an incoming email to the specified email address, the user information is validated based on the “From” email address.

The MIE server sends the print job to the SLNX Delegation Sever and then adds the print job to the secure print queue. The Delegation Server used is determined during the installation of the MIE Server. The Delegation Server responds to the user via email, indicating their user information and the attachment that is ready for print release. You can also opt to print the jobs directly to the configured printer by enabling Print By Mail “Direct Print” in SLNX.

Print by Mail “Direct Print” is not supported in a cloud environment.
